Circus Freaks debuted in 2000 at the House of Blues in Las Vegas as a late-night spectacle that was sexy, outrageous, and hilarious. With its midnight start time, the show became a magnet for Las Vegas’s top strip performers, who could catch the performance—or star in it—after their own shows ended.
The production served as a creative laboratory, showcasing original choreography and circus acts while highlighting the extraordinary talents of performers from Cirque du Soleil’s Mystere and “O”. Christopher also recruited dancers, singers, and principal performers from the legendary showgirl productions Folies Bergere and Jubilee, both now sadly closed.
As a benefit for The Nevada Theater Company, Circus Freaks attracted celebrity audiences including Wayne Newton and Penn & Teller. The show thrived for five years in Las Vegas before Christopher returned to his home in the San Francisco Bay Area.
In 2023, Christopher revived Circus Freaks in San Francisco, reuniting some of the original “OG Freaks” with major names from the entertainment industry.
Now, the show’s 8th production is set for March 2026, returning to Las Vegas as a pop-up experience inside the Viva Fest Tent.
